ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Laurel and our community partners have developed special enrichment programs that provide a unique set of specialized skills, education, passion and experience through weekly enrichment classes. This opportunity to explore a variety of topics will enable our campers to develop their individual emerging skills, talents and interests. Below is just a sample of the programs we offer:
Ball Up
This weekly program focuses on motor skills and symmetry development. Ball Up is a highly specialized sports program. It has been specially created by specialists to provide not only physical but also emotional and social skills development.
Animal Nation
A fresh take on the traditional petting zoo. At least 2 handlers and camp staff will supervise campers to help ensure everyone has a safe, education and fun time. Our animals are not hand fed pellets giving animals and participants a fun, safe, non-threatening experience!
Rhythm & Blues
Campers experiment with rhythm as they explore music, dance and create their own music through using toys, other objects and safe musical instruments.
Space Adventures
Campers use their imagination to explore the universe. They will become the astronauts of today and tomorrow with a rocket of their own creation. This experience will also teach campers about stars, constellations, and the differences between the Moon and Earth.
Messy Art
This class will provide your child with a wonderful opportunity to explore their imagination. This is an engaging class with stories and art supplies including an abundance of different mediums presented in a manner to inspire active application and involvement in a world of artistic expression
The Science Guy
Campers conduct experiments to explore strange but safe chemical reactions through hands-on exploration and group demonstrations. They will see things change from a liquid to a solid or vice versa or even into a gas right before their eyes.
